Aquaculture is one of the newest industries on the planet and is making a big splash in the state of Florida. There are over 210 farmed aquatic plant and animal species reported world-wide. Florida's warm waters encourage faster growth of certain species such as mollusks and cobia fish. This new industry is also responsible for job growth needed for the development of specialized equipment, ongoing research and aquaculture farms.

Exploring the World of Science for High School & Beyond. The award-winning, Show Me Science Advanced series, examines the most recent developments and discoveries in science and technology. Each program is designed to help students understand the vital role science plays in our everyday lives and is an excellent in-class, library or home schooling tool. The Show Me Science Advanced series covers subjects from Fish Farming to Solar Power, Biotechnology to Environmental Science. Students will develop a basic understanding of the fundamentals of Science and work their way up to more complex subjects. These programs show everyday, real-life application of the topic and how we are all affected by advancements in science and technology, often in ways we never realize. Produced in cooperation with an advisory board of top educators, curriculum specialists and administrators.
